How I work
I trained as an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist. This means I see the value of different approaches and combine them in a way that best meets the needs of clients. What stays constant is a focus is on the centrality of relationships in our lives, including our relationships with ourselves, with other people, and with the cultures and systems we are part of. My approach is open, supportive, and allows for lightness and challenge. I engage with my clients in an authentic way and invite them to do the same with me.
Who I work with
I work with a wide range of clients. Issues I work with include anxiety and stress, depression, bereavement and loss, trauma, relationship breakdowns, addictive behaviours, and finding purpose in life. I work with people who are neurodiverse, and those who are diverse in their sexuality and gender. If you are unsure whether I can work with you please ask.
Getting started
After you've made email contact with me and I've confirmed availability we will set up a reduced rate introductory session where we'll explore what brings you to therapy. If we decide to go ahead, we'll then agree on the terms for our working relationship, such as whether we'll work together for a fixed term or open ended period, the time of our weekly sessions, and how we'll manage cancellations.
